Businesses can also bloom as Maldon Town Council is again subsidising the hanging basket scheme for businesses and retailers in the High Street. For a small charge, businesses will be supplied with hanging baskets that will contain an array of colourful flowers; these will be erected, watered and maintained throughout the summer. Running from May to September in 2010, the scheme helps the town brim with colour and makes Maldon a more attractive place to shop, live, work and visit. Any businesses interested in sponsoring a hanging basket for their premises, should contact Caroline Hooper at Maldon Town Council on 01621 857373’ or visit www.maldontowncouncil.gov.uk/about-maldon-in-bloom.
