Voice scoops prestigious industry award

Date uploaded 22/09/08

The Voicettes are shouting from the rooftops following the win of the ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ category at the prestigious CIPR Excellence Awards 2008 on 15 September. With standards at an all time high, Voice beat off stiff opposition from across the UK to scoop the award, with the team’s training, teamwork and enthusiasm cited by the judges as being particularly impressive. Nichola Cain, Managing Director of Voice, says: “We are so excited to have won! We were delighted just to be named finalists, but winning is an amazing achievement for us. We are a very young agency, yet it is our firm belief that we can offer the very best in PR advice without London agency overheads. Our small, dedicated and talented team aims high and ensures that the client is at the core of our business philosophy.” Voice may be a new agency, but its staff has impressive credentials and experience, much of it gained at top London firms. Since its inception in 2006, Voice has attracted both local entrepreneurial businesses and prestigious established brands as clients, including Chelmsford’s MACK hairdressing, The Exchange Insurance Company based in Great Dunmow, and Naked Juice. The Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ 2008 awards, announced by Krishnan Guru-Murthy, received a record number of over 850 entries. CIPR President Elisabeth Lewis-Jones said: “Only the cream of the PR industry receives a CIPR Excellence Award, which recognises the vital contribution PR makes to business and society. With the quality of entries improving year-on-year, this year’s winning campaigns faced the stiffest competition to-date to rise to the top. This is a fantastic achievement and Voice is to be congratulated.”
